Nintendo has announced a new feature that will be available to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers soon by the name of: Game Trials. Nintendo of Europe (
@NintendoEurope) was the branch that announced this news and it appears that the perk will only be available in that region for the time being.
Game Trials seems to be a program which will allow Nintendo Switch Online subscribers to play various games for free (for limited amounts of time). Similar to what PlayStation Plus has got going on, with its monthly free games, only you don't get to keep the games.
The first of these Game Trials will run from August 7th to the 13th and allow subscribers to play
Mario Tennis Aces for free (that is without taking into account the cost of subscribing to Nintendo Switch Online).
“From August 7th 2019 (09:00 UK time) until August 13th 2019 (23:59 UK time) Nintendo Switch Online members can play Mario Tennis Aces for free with the Game Trials programme! Players who are currently using or have yet to use the 7-day free trial of Nintendo Switch Online can also take advantage of this offer," reads
Nintendo's UK page.
Additionally, Nintendo of Europe has announced a 33% off deal for
Mario Tennis Aces which will begin when the aforementioned Game Trial does and end on the 20th. So, if you enjoyed the free trial, you'll be able to pick the game up for a discounted price — and all of your progress will carry over.
