Another World was first released in 1991 for the Amiga and Atari ST. The platformer action-adventure game developed by Delphine Software under the direction of Éric Chahi, who has quckly became one of the most prominent artist in the realm of video games, giving players also titles such as Heart of Darkness and From Dust, has proved that the games can be much more than just pixels.

Chahi's masterpiece was widely ported to other systems and a subsequent 20th Anniversary Edition has been gracing Steam since 2013. Nintendo has confirmed that Another World is also coming to Nintendo Switch, “Featuring a compelling story and captivating adventure, players will be able to switch back and forth in real time between the original and HD graphics and choose from three difficulty modes.

Another World is supposed to release later next month, giving gamers a chance to (re)discover the story of young genius physicist Lester Knight Chaykin. Thanks to his particle accelerator, Chaykin accidentaly opens a hole in space and time, teleporting the unfortunate protagonist to a hostile, alien planet.
