Undertale is a role-playing game by developed and published by independent developer Toby Fox that was inititally released for Microsoft Windows and macOS in 2015, eventually getting a Linux release in 2016—as well as coming out for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in 2017.
A Nintendo Switch version of
Undertale was announced during a Nintendo Direct that was streamed earlier in March but we were not given an official release date—with the promise that Undertale would be released "
...eventually".
An
Undertale Collector's Edition was announced for the PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and PC versions of the game back in July; which included a physical copy of the game, a collector's edition box, a 14k gold-plated music box locket, the game's original sopundtrack, a sheet music booklet, and the game's story booklet. This collector's edition will be available on the
15th of August as a Fangamer exclusive.
Now, a Nintendo Switch version of the Undertale Collector's Edition is also becoming available for pre-orders, although we still don't know when it will release. Much like the PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and PC collector's editions, the
Undertale Collector's Edition for the Nintendo Switch will be available exclusively at Fangamer.
In this RPG, you don't have to kill anyone. Each enemy can be "defeated" nonviolently. Dance with a slime. Pet a dog. Whisper your favorite secret to a knight. Or, ignore this choice and rain destruction upon your foes.
Undertale for the Nintendo Switch will be available...eventually.
