While Joe and Anthony Russo's
Avengers: Endgame is breaking box office records left and right (recently overshadowing
Titanic), Koei Tecmo, Marvel, Team Ninja, and Nintendo are working hard on
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order – an original take on the classic
Infinity Gauntlet storyline.
Just like the previous
Ultimate Alliance games, the upcoming threequel is an action-RPG, but it's actually more similar to the
Diablo series than
The Witcher III: Wild Hunt. Although the title will feature a fully-fledged story mode, the fun lies is mashing buttons to activate unique ability combos between at least two heroes. For example, Storm and Thor will cooperate to create a cyclone with electricity.
Considering that four characters are always on screen at a time it comes as no surprise that the actual gameplay will change (rather sooner than later ) into a mind-boggling, colorful fighting extravaganza.
At launch,
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 will feature "
well over" 20 playable characters, including Black Panther, Black Widow, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Crystal, Daredevil, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Drax, Falcon, Gamora, Hawkeye, Hulk, Iron Man, Miles Morales, Ms. Marvel, Nightcrawler, Peter Parker, Rocket & Groot, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Gwen, Star-Lord, Storm, Thor, Venom, Wasp, and Wolverine.
Unfortunately, the Game Informer crew still hasn't shared the new gameplay's YouTube link, so to watch the action-packed video, you have to visit the magazine's website through the link down below:
