Patch 25.13 is here, and it’s one of the biggest League of Legends updates of the year doubling as the official MSI patch and the start of Act 2 for Spirit Blossom: Beyond. With sweeping gameplay changes, fan-favorite modes returning, new skins, and meaningful tweaks to champion balance and battle pass progression, this patch reshapes how players engage with the Rift, the Abyss, and beyond.
Spirit Blossom Returns with New Skins
The mystical Spirit Blossom skin line is expanding once more with a new wave of champions joining the festival:
Spirit Blossom Akali
Spirit Blossom Hwei
Spirit Blossom Karma
Spirit Blossom Kayle
Spirit Blossom Nidalee
Spirit Blossom Morgana
Prestige Spirit Blossom Zed
All of these skins are available with the latest patch, with chromas also releasing for Akali, Karma, Kayle, Hwei, and Nidalee.
ARAM Map Pool Expanded
For the first time ever, ARAM will now feature a rotating map pool, adding much-needed variety:
Howling Abyss (classic)
Koeshin’s Crossing (new)
Butcher’s Bridge (returning favorite)
Champion selection now includes Champion Cards, giving players two (sometimes three) options per game — with unused choices sent to the bench for potential swaps.
Arena Mode Returns Permanently (For a Year)
Arena is officially back and this time it’s sticking around for a full 12-month run. Riot confirmed that fan demand brought the chaotic 2v2v2v2 mode back for good (at least for now). No limited-time windows the pits are open.
Battle Pass XP Overhaul
Mastery Set Missions have been removed in favor of open-ended Champion Mastery missions, giving players 2,500 BXP with any champions of their choice.
Weekly Missions will now remain active for 21 days instead of 7, letting players catch up and progress even with time off.
Champion Balance Updates
Here are some key highlights:
Rammus: HP growth and W scaling buffed.
Kindred: R cooldown decreased.
Irelia: Stronger early passive attack speed.
Vi: Shield reduced.
Gangplank: Lower mana on Q, shorter R cooldown.
Nidalee: Q long-range damage increased.
Twisted Fate: R cooldown slightly increased.
Fiddlesticks: W AP scaling buffed.
Ryze: W nerfed slightly on damage and mana.
Briar: W can no longer be canceled; E cast time reduced.
Yorick: Base armor reduced.
Quality of Life and Bug Fixes
New Report Category: "Rank Manipulation" now available.
“Intentional Feeding” is now called "Disruptive Gameplay" to better reflect griefing/report scenarios.
AFK players who reconnect and win will no longer receive penalties.
Reporter feedback window reduced from 14 to 3 days.
Over 20+ bug fixes, including major cleanup for Viego, Sylas, Akali, Karma, and Practice Tool stacking issues.
Mythic Shop & Sanctum Updates
Spirit Blossom Morgana arrives in the Sanctum, along with a new Nexus Finisher and animated emote.
Mythic Essence gains improved:
Icons and emotes now also give +2 ME
Mythic Variant duplicate payouts increased from 100 to 130 ME
Extended Patch Duration Due to Riot Summer Break
Patch 25.13 will run three weeks (instead of the usual two) due to Riot's July 4th summer break. Patch 25.14 will land on July 16, 2025.
Patch 25.13 delivers a massive shake-up just in time for the mid-year push. With a revitalized Spirit Blossom event, new ARAM experiences, Arena’s triumphant return, and much-needed changes to BXP systems and champion balance, there’s no better time to log back into the League client.
Whether you’re grinding for Prestige Zed, queuing up ARAM for the map variety, or diving into the Arena pits this patch has something for everyone to enjoy.
