Considered by many to be the best game in the series,
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild keeps finding success after releasing in March of 2017 for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
The game completely redefined what the series had been doing since the release of
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in 1998. These two titles have more things in common, though, as both are considered by fans to be the best games in the
Legend of Zelda franchise. Both of these games redefined the series and set the bar for upcoming
Legend of Zelda games. And, as of now, both have been the best-selling 3D
The Legend of Zelda title in Japan.
Media Create revealed last week that
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild had sold over a staggering 1.25 million copies in Japan—including both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Wii U—thus becoming the best-selling 3D title in the series.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was the best-selling 3D title in Japan for almost 20 years since its release all the way back in November of 1998.
