We have some very exciting news for fans of Nintendo and Game Freak's long-running Pokémon series, as The Pokémon Company has announced that new information regarding the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be revealed this Wednesday.

As per the announcement, The Pokémon Company doesn't specify in which form this new information about the games will be revealed, but it is likely that it will be a short video; so don't be expecting a Pokémon Direct in terms of length, since it probably won't be that long — although Nintendo may surprise us.

The Pokémon Company will be revealing this new information for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield on Wednesday the 7th of August at 6:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be set in Galar, an expansive region with many environments—idyllic countryside, contemporary cities, thick forests, and craggy, snow-covered mountains. The people and Pokémon live together in this region, and they’ve worked together to develop the industries here.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be available for the Nintendo Switch on the 15th of November.
