Lately, there have been some rumors doing the rounds, which suggest that a revised version of the popular Nintendo Switch could be currently in development at The Big N; mainly hinting at either a Nintendo Switch Mini or a Nintendo Switch Pro.
The rumor started when a Chinese company sent Twitter user
@CptnAlex, ambassador for Wicked Cool Toys and JAKKS Toys, some
information regarding accessories for a Nintendo Switch Mini — which included mock-ups of the revised console in question.
Nintendo has recently addressed these rumors, sort of, as Shuntaro Furukawa — the company's President — mentioned that they know about these alleged reports but remaining tight-lipped when it comes to confirming or denying them; stating that the company is always performing development of new hardware.
"
We acknowledge that there have been reports [about this]. Answering to rumours and speculations would end up stealing surprises from our customers and also be unprofitable to all of our shareholders, so we have no answer to that. As a general theory, we are always performing development of new hardware."
With the incredible success that the Nintendo Switch has had since it released in March of 2017, a revised version of the console is not only very plausible, but also quite unavoidable; it is only a matter of time. Nintendo, however, are right about not revealing this, much less at a shareholders meeting, so we'll just have to keep waiting for that inevitable announcement.
