Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was a video game that told the story of Galen Marek, Darth Vader's secret apprentice. An incredibly powerful Force-wielder, he'd eventually see the error of his ways and joined the Rebellion (playing a crucial role in its formation).
This was long before Disney acquired Lucasfilm, and when the Expanded Universe was deemed non-canon, The Force Unleashed became one of many great stories fans have hoped will be revisited in some way. As we first reported on SFFGazette.com, Starkiller has returned...in the form of a Black Series action figure.
Retailing for a whopping $110.99, it includes Starkiller and two Stormtroopers along with a total of 16 accessories.
The box art recreates the artwork which once adored the video game's cover and we're sure many of you will hope this is an indication that Disney and Lucasfilm might be planning to revisit the character.
It's a nice thought, and there are no doubt plenty of ways to put a fresh spin on Galen, but we currently have nothing to suggest any sort of return is imminent. Sam Witwer played the character in the 2008 video game and its sequel and has expressed interest in reprising the role on multiple occasions.
