While Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice definitely features more "actual" story and a bit simpler narration than From Software's Dark Souls trilogy and Bloodborne, the studio is working on a new manga inspired by its universe, allowing you to learn more about the world of late 1500s Sengoku Japan.

Created by Monster Hunter: Flash Hunter's Shin Yamamoto in collaboration with the award-winning Japanese video game developer, Sekiro Gaiden: Shinazu Hanbei (or Sekiro Side-Story: Hanbei the Undying) is coming to stores on May 27, 2019 – seemingly only in Japan, at least for the time being.

In Shadows, Hanbei the Undying is a side character who acts as an unkillable training partner to the titular hero, so the manga, named after the hero, will definitely reveal some new details on Hanbei.

As a reminder, Shadows Die Twice launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 22nd, selling more than 2 million copies in less than 10 days. Be sure to take a look at the new manga down below:

In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice you are the “one-armed wolf”, a disgraced and disfigured warrior rescued from the brink of death. Bound to protect a young lord who is the descendant of an ancient bloodline, you become the target of many vicious enemies, including the dangerous Ashina clan. When the young lord is captured, nothing will stop you on a perilous quest to regain your honor, not even death itself.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC NOW!
