The SEGA AGES series has been quite the nice surprise for Nintendo Switch owners and fans of classic Sega titles, since it has successfully managed to bring back some of Sega's all-time classics for new generations, as well as more seasoned players, to experience in current-gen consoles.
For those who may not be aware, the SEGA AGES series has been re-releasing classic Sega titles like the original Sonic the Hedgehog, Virtua Racing, and Phantasy Star, as well as some games that had not been released in the West before like Puyo Puyo 2 — which has even been fully localised.
All of the games part of the SEGA AGES lineup have gotten somewhat of an HD makeover, without making drastic changes to the graphics, and new features depending on the game; needless to say, it offers players the definitive versions of their favourite games.
Today Sega has kindly reminded players that Technosoft's Thunder Force AC — the arcade remake of the Sega Genesis classic Thunder Force III — has just joined the rest of the titles in the SEGA AGES series, and is currently available for players to purchase via the Nintendo Switch eShop for $7.99 USD.
