5. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D

This game is exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS, so if your kid has one, this would be a perfect gift or stocking stuffer. The game wasn't perfect for the Nintendo 64, but the game has finally been perfected to make one painless and very fun game. This is one of the best and most unique Zelda games in the franchise and the Nintendo 3DS remake is a testament of its greatness.

In Majora's mask Link must replay the same 3 days over and over making the world he lives in brighter and better each day. It can be a bit challenging at times, but once the player figures out the rhythm of game it unravels a story that is fun even when playing through it again.

4. Splatoon

This is a great game for parents who have kids wanting a shooter game, but the parents feel like they're either not ready or don't want their kids playing them at all. Splatoon is a game where kids can go around shooting each other with paint and make the maps as messy as possible. The trailer below give a preview of how the game works. Trust us, this is a fun game for everyone to get into.

Splatoon does a great jobs at taking away the hardcore violence and replaces it with innocent fun. It mixes hiding inside paint trails and spraying paint all over the place while taking out the other team. With a variety of of single player and mutliplayer game modes there is enough to keep the kiddos entertained for days.

3. Super Mario Maker

The era of Super Mario Bros has all but been forgotten in Super Mario Maker. This is sort of game remake and is one that involves a lot of creativity and playing. In Super Mario Maker, players can build there own 2D level and play it themselves or challenge others to complete the level on their own. You can make them as easy or as hard as you want just pick up the WiiU pad and create the level of your hearts desire. The levels can also be as short or as long as you want.

The following two videos give you a pretty good idea what you are in for when it comes to Super Mario Maker. Build, challenge and most of all have fun!

2. Disney Infinity 3.0

Tis the season of Star Wars. Yes, the holiday season is many things, but this year Star Wars is the back in a huge way. Disney Infinity whisks children away and right into the Star Wars Universe. Kids get a docking station and Star Wars Statues that they can play in or outside the game. Heck you may find yourself right beside your kids playing as your favorite characters from the Star Wars franchise.

The kids will be wanting this for sure as soon as the new Star Wars Force Awakens movie gets released. After that, there is no gaurantee that these will still be on store shelves. If you have a Star Wars fan inside the house... you may want to pick this up.

1. Lego Dimensions

This is the easiest and most awesome thing to for kids during the holidays. Developed by the tremendously talented TT Games and Warner Brothers. Build little sets from popular TV shows and movies and place those sets on a station to play them inside the game. There are some similarities between the Disney Infinity, Skylanders and LEGO Dimensions, but LEGO Dimensions takes it a bit further. For example, the Disney Infinity and Skylanders figures are just statues that are placed on a platform. In LEGO Dimensions kids can construct a variety of vehicles that can be played in the game. They can stop create a new vehicle and place it right into the game. That isn't something that can be done in Disney Infinity or Skylanders. NOTE: There are instructions for the variety of builds that can be played in the game.

Its also important to note that there isn't many games that Super Man and Batman can fight crime along side of Gandalf from Lord of the Rings. There are so many worlds that collide in this game you might even find yourself playing the game instead of your children. Below are a few examples of just how LEGO Dimensions works.
