Sega has released a new video, which successfully introduces the iconic Sonic the Hedgehog series to those who may be new to the beloved franchise.

Sonic the Hedgehog, Sega's iconic mascot, has been giving people a lot to talk about recently The reason? The Blue Blue has recently made his live-action debut, and fans of the long-running series have loved what director Jeff Fowler, and actors Ben Schwartz(Sonic), Jim Carrey(Dr. Robotnik), and James Marsden(Tom Wachowski) have done with the series.

While Sonic's live-action movie was released last week, he has been huge part of video game history since the early 90s, when the original Sonic the Hedgehog game was released for the Sega Genesis; introducing players to the fastest hedgehog alive.

For those who may be new to the franchise and/or have been introduced to the character via the Sonic the Hedgehog live-action movie, Sega has released a video with a brief history of the series; covering the character's humble beginnings, animated and live-action debuts, and more!
