MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN Makes An Interesting Cameo In The Teaser Trailer For MORBIUS

The first teaser trailer for Sony Pictures' Morbius features quite an interesting cameo by Spider-Man; most specifically the Sam Raimi suit from Insomniac Games' critically acclaimed Marvel's Spider-Man.

Today Sony Pictures released the first teaser trailer for Morbius, which is a movie that's set in the Spider-Man universe, and has also, apparently, been confirmed to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe; something that not even the Venom movie has been confirmed to be part of yet.

What's even more interesting is the fact that, in the teaser trailer for the movie, we get to see a rather familiar image of the wall crawler, but it isn't the version that is played by Tom Holland in the MCU, but the suit that Toby Maguire wore in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy.

Things get even more interesting when we realise that the picture that we see in the trailer is actually the promotional picture for the Webbed Suit from Insomniac Games' critically acclaimed Marvel's Spider-Man video game, which is obviously the name for Sam Raimi's trilogy.

While this may be a mistake on the production's part, it is still interesting that the Spider-Man poster seen in the trailer has the word "murderer" written on it; suggesting that this is Tom Holland's Spider-Man that was accused of murdering Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

We will have to wait until the movie comes out before we can confirm which Spider-Man this is, but it is still interesting to see that Sony Pictures used an image that was used by Insomniac Games to promote the release of the Webbed Suit in Marvel's Spider-Man.

Check it out:

One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success soon reveals itself to be a remedy potentially worse than the disease.

Morbius lurks into theatres on the 31st of July.
