His recent past career started in 2008 as a key level designer for Irrational Games, who developed Bioshock Infinite. Later, he moved on to Arkane Studios and helped on the development for 2017's Prey.

According to his LinkedIn page, he recently switched jobs at a new 2K Games studio in California, with the role of a "Principle Combat Designer". It's uncommon to see a former key designer return to a company.

The best bet would be that 2K Games is working on a new Bioshock game, considering the immense success past games brought them and the fact that someone like Elliott, would abruptly return to the company.
