We have some potentially exciting news for video game players, as the latest rumour doing the rounds is suggesting that Activision is currently working on quite a bunch of remastered and reimagined games, and these are expected to be officially announced at some point this year.

The information comes from video game industry analyst Daniel Ahmad, who claims that "the company is working on a number of remastered and reimagined titles that are set to be announced later this year," which is quite interesting, especially when it comes to reimagined games; perhaps a series revival could count as a reimagined game?

Activision has seen a lot of success with their remastered games — namely Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled — and it makes a lot of sense for them to try and preserve some of their popular series by remastering them.

When it comes to possible series that Activision could remaster or reimagine, the sky is pretty much the limit, but a few series that are likely to be considered are Tony Hawk' Pro Skater or even the insanely popular Guitar Hero series; earlier Call of Duty games could also get the remaster treatment, of course.

Regardless, this is exciting news for fans if the ruour was to be believed, but we will have to keep waiting for an official announcement by Activision before we get our hopes too high.
