Fans of Sega's Blue Blur will be pretty excited to find out that during this year's South by Southwest(SXSW) Sonic the Hedgehog panel the developer expects to make some special announcements.

We may have some pontentially good news for Sonic the Hedgehog fans, as new information has revealed that some exciting announcements will be made soon by Sega during this year's South by Southwest(SXSW) conference. Perhaps a brand-new Sonic the Hedgehog game?

The information was revealed on the official website for the SXSW conference, where it is revealed that Sega and Sonic Team have some speciall announcements to make; announcements that pertain the beloved character's next steps for this year.

SXSW's official description of this year's Sonic the Hedgehog panel reads as follows:

Sonic the Hedgehog is back at SXSW! Join special guests from SEGA and Sonic Team as they talk about the latest for the blue blur and his next steps for 2020 and beyond. There’s almost always a special announcement or two to be had, so be sure to stay tuned!
 
The South by Southwest 2020 event kicks off on Friday the 13th of March, and will be wrapping up on Sunday the 22nd of the same month, so there are even more things for Sonic the Hedgehog fans to look forward to; keeping in mind that the Blue Blur's first live-action movie is spin-dashin into theatres on Valentine's Day, of course.
