Sony Pictures Entertainment has recently given us our first look at
The Angry Birds Movie 2, with a new teaser trailer that brings back all of the birds and pigs from the previous movie, as well as introducing us to a brand-new purple bird living in a snowy — and very cold, by the looks of it — area.
The Angry Birds Movie is based on the popular
Angry Birds mobile game developed by Rovio Entertainment; originally released in 2009 and being praised for its innovative gameplay. Sadly, the movie was not met with the same praise, receiving poor reviews and scoring a very disappointing 43/100 on Metacritic.
All of the cast from the first movie are making a return in
The Angry Birds Movie 2, with Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Bill Hader, Danny McBride, and Peter Dinklage reprising their angry bird roles. Directors Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly won't be returning, however; with Thurop Van Orman(
Adventure Time) and John Rice(
Rick and Morty) directing the new movie.
