Compiling all 8 of the titles in the
Mega Man X series,
Mega Man X Legacy Collection was released yesterday for consoles and PC—including new modes, challenges, and the classic jump and shooting all
Mega Man titles are known for.
If there is one thing that the
Mega Man X series is well known for—besides the jumping and shooting—is its music. While some may agree that not all games in the
X series are masterpieces, every one can acknowledge that the music has always been fantastic. From the intro stage in
Mega Man X to the Maverick themes present in every game, all the way to the ending themes.
Mega Man games have always delighted us with their fine soundtracks.
In order to celebrate the
Mega Man X Legacy Collection's release, Capcom has revealed that the official soundtrack for the game is now available for purchases on Steam—coming in AAc, FLAC and MP3 formats for players to enjoy. The soundtrack includes a bunch of remixes from the games, which give those classic tunes a breath of fresh air—making them even more epic than they already were.
The new music trailer Capcom released today teases us with some samples of the music that can be found in the
X Legacy Collection soundtrack, including remixes for the boss fights from
Mega Man X throughout
Mega Man X6 to the classic Stage Start tune that has been playing since the original
Mega Man released in 1987.
