The
Sega Ages lineup of games, currently releasing exclusively on the Nintendo Switch, has managed to bring back some of the classic, and most iconic titles from Sega's golden age of games. From arcade titles, to some of the most popular games on the Sega Genesis; all of them with some tweaks and upgrades that enhance the player's experience.
Fans are about to get quite the pleasant surprise, as Sega has announced that the
Sega Ages lineup of games is going to be growing bigger later this month — with the addition of the iconic
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and
Puyo Puyo 2; both titles beloved by fans and casual players alike.
According to the information revealed by Sega, both
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and
Puyo Puyo 2 will become available on the Nintendo Switch eShop on Thursday the 20th of February; joining the evergrowing
Sega Ages lineup of games that already features a total of 14 classic Sega titles.
Puyo Puyo 2 (also known as Puyo Puyo Tsu) is considered one of the biggest arcade games of all time in Japan. This sequel introduced an improved ruleset along with the ability to offset Garbage Puyo sent by your opponent by creating Puyo chains of your own. Swap between Single Puyo Puyo, Double Puyo Puyo, and Endless Puyo Puyo game modes for even more Puyo fun in this classic puzzle experience.
Hailed as one of the most successful games for the Genesis (Mega Drive), Sonic The Hedgehog 2 garnered critical acclaim swiftly after its 1992 release. Follow Sonic and Tails (in his series debut!) as they team up against the nefarious Dr. Eggman in order to save the Chaos Emeralds from the clutches of evil.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Puyo Puyo 2 will join the Sega Ages lineup on the 20th of February.
