5. Pokémon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby (Nintendo 3DS)
Pokémon has been around for years and it is still a wildly popular game. Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby are based of the succesful 2003 entries. The games allowed gamers to "catch them all" and collect any Pokémon that they encounter.

This game is part of a $2 billion dollar franchise and was monster the day it released back in 2011. In the Skylander franchise kids can collect and play different figurines by putting them on a portal that allows them to play the figure in the game. There are many adventures that kids can undertake in game and once they are done they can play with the characters out of the game as toys.It really is a present that keeps on giving!

3. Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (All Platforms)
The Lego franchise just keeps growing with toys, video games and movies. The best part about the LEGO games is that even adults enjoy playing them. From Indiana Jones to Star Wars the Lego video game series is always a hit. In Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham there are so many different heroes you can play to stop a certain villain. You can also play as some of your favorite villains as well! This game takes you out of Gotham on one heck of a super adventure.

2. Super Smash Bros WiiU (WiiU and Nintendo 3DS)
Super Smash Bros for the Nintendo 64 was my first game I got on a console. Me and my friends would play for hours upon hours bashing with some of our favorite characters from different games. This game is another game that adults can play with their kids and have a great time doing it. There is a ton of different characters (some parents might even recognize) that you can play with to "smash" your friends, family or even on a solo mission. This game is fun and can be played for hours!

This is the end all of children's games! Disney characters mixed in with marvel super heroes!? Yes, that is exactly right. Disney Infinity plays a lot like Skylanders (as mentioned above), but you get to play with your favorite Disney Characters! This year Disney Infinity 2.0 released, which, brought every kids favorite Marvel superheroes into the mix. Kids can play with the characters in game or out which makes it a super fun game!
