Over the weekend, Marvel Games Vice President Bill Rosemann and renowned voice actor Troy Baker had fans believing that a Daredevil video game could be in the works. Before we continue, however, we will tell you that said game doesn't exist; at least, as of yet.
The whole exchange began when IGN's Jonathon Dornbush shared a tweet asking which was everyone's dream superhero game, and which studio would they want developing it; to what Baker replied with a "ahem, cough, cough," and proceeded to tag Marvel Games' Bill Rosemann.
This is where things get interesting, since Baker never really mentioned which was his dream superhero game, but Rosemann was quick to reply with an innocent "You, sir, are clearly a man without fear," which made fans of, well, Marvel's "The Man Without Fear" wonder if there was anything more to this innocent tweet.
Unfortunately, Rosemann clarified that there is no such thing as a Daredevil game currently in development, and that both him and Baker have expressed their desire for such game to be developed at some point in the future; apologising to fans for any confusion this particular exchange could've caused.
Now, Baker did never actually say that he would want to voice the iconic character, but Rosemann's tweet implied that, well, he was "The Man Without Fear" — which is one of the many names Daredevil is known as —and this does reveal that they, at the very least, have entertained the idea.
Troy Baker has already voiced a plethora of Marvel characters in several games, such as Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, and is even voicing Bruce Banner in Square Enix's highly anticipated Marvel's Avengers, so him voicing Daredevil at some point in the future is more than plausible; all we need is a Daredevil game first.
