WARHAMMER AGE OF SIGMAR: CHAMPIONS Is Making Its Way To The Switch And Steam
The free-to-play card game, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions, will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch and PC later this year. Here are the details.
Developers PlayFusion and Games Workshop have announced that the card game Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch and PC. This new video game is adapting the board game which has sold over 20 million cards. The Steam version of the game will be out this month and the Nintendo Switch version is said to "be out shortly after the Steam release".
Champions will have a "robust tutorial", "challenges" against an AI opponent and both casual as well as ranked matches againts real players. The game has "full narrative campaigns" with cross-platform combat supported. The game originally launched for iOS and Android devices last year, every console and mobile device will be able to cross-play.
Players can scan their physical cards and use them in the game, collect more cards and use them to conquer the battlefield. Games Workshop and PlayFusion are aiming to keep players hooked in the game with the use of constant updates and new game features.
Take command of 1 of 4 powerful factions and recruit an army of legendary Champions. Deploy units and unleash deadly magical abilities, while completing quests to earn blessings from the gods. Only the mightiest of warriors will stand victorious in this battle for the Mortal Realms, that spans both physical and digital worlds.
