ZELDA: TWILIGHT PRINCESS Gets Texture Update From Nvidia Shield
Developer Nintendo Entertainment's action-adventure game, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, has gotten an update courtesy of Nvidia Shield. Here are the details.
Nintendo Entertainment and Nvidia have partnered up and created a new texture update for the classic action-adventure game The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. However, Chinese users are the only ones that will be able to use this update. Nvidia used a form of artificial intelligence that makes the textures in the game improve in quality.
Fans and players have been speculating that this type of technology could emulate Wii and GameCube titles in a Nintendo Switch console. However, nothing of the sort has happened yet. If this happens at some time, it will not be soon due to the exclusivity of the Chinese market. Only Chinese useres can play Nintendo games in the Nvidia Shield.
There is no word on Nvidia and the use of this technology for other titles in its catalog. If the company says anything about applying this technology in the west, we will let you know. The video below shows off 20 minutes of the title being played in the Shield.
When an evil darkness enshrouds the land of Hyrule, a young farm boy named Link must awaken the hero and the animal within. When Link travels to the Twilight Realm, he transforms into a wolf and must scour the land with the help of a mysterious girl named Midna. Besides his trusty sword and shield, Link will use his bow and arrows by aiming with the Wii Remote controller, fight while on horseback and use a wealth of other items, both new and old.
Twilight Princess is available for the Wii, Wii U, GameCube and Nvidia Shield
