The Voidfire Deathcycle is one of the newest secret mounts introduced in World of Warcraft, added as part of the revamped Horrific Visions event tied to the void-themed future of The War Within and the upcoming Midnight expansion. This sleek, purple version of the Hateforged Blazecycle isn’t just a rare drop it’s a hidden collectible with a multi-step unlock process.
To begin, you must complete all objectives and defeat the final boss in either Horrific Vision of Stormwind or Orgrimmar. Doing so will unlock one of the masks, which allows you to increase the difficulty and reward potential of future runs. You’ll need to have at least one mask equipped before you can access the Voidfire Deathcycle secret.
Note: The two versions of Stormwind and Orgrimmar alternate on a weekly basis. If Orgrimmar is active, you’ll need to wait for the weekly reset to enter Stormwind.
Discovering the Voidfire Deathcycle
When running the Horrific Vision of Stormwind with a mask equipped, head to the Dwarven District near the auction house. There, you’ll find the Voidfire Deathcycle sitting idle. Attack it to trigger a mini-boss named Haymar the Devout. After defeating him, interact with the bike to unlock a dialogue option.
This interaction causes a ghostly projection of the bike to appear outside the entrance to Horrific Visions in Dornogal. From there, you’ll need to collect parts and materials to build your own version.
Pro Tip: Progress is account-wide. Once a part is inserted on any character, it’s unlocked for all others.
Materials Required
Before hunting the mount parts, collect the following crafted and purchased materials all of them must be Rank 3 quality:
- 12 Entropy Enhancer
- 5 Weavercloth Spellthread
- 3 Whimsical Wiring
- 1 Refulgent Crystal
- 1 Storm-Touched Weapon Wrap
- 1 Convincingly Realistic Jumper Cables
- 1 Recalibrated Safety Switch
- 1 Irresistible Red Button (crafted by Engineers)
The Irresistible Red Button is the most complex item. It’s bind-on-pickup and must be crafted by a character with Khaz Algar Engineering. If you’re not an Engineer, you can level it on an alt or loot the necessary Piles of Rusted Scrap from the Black Market Auction House building in Dornogal.
You’ll also need:
- 12 Handfuls of Bismuth Bolts
- 3 Whimsical Wiring
- 4 Gyrating Gears
- 1 Entropy Enhancer
Use a public Crafting Order and tip well to have another player make the button. The easier way to do it is to craft it yourself as an Engineer.
Money-saving tip: Vendors like Apothecary Rz in the City of Threads sometimes sell Piles of Rusted Scrap. Check back often.
Where to Find All Mount Parts
These additional parts are found inside Horrific Visions some as drops, others in the world. You must have a mask equipped to see and collect just about all of them:
- Twisted Skull-Scythe Handlebars: Complete Old Town (Stormwind)
- Depleted Void Crystal: Complete Mage Quarter (Stormwind)
- Voidflame-Resistant Hide: Complete Dwarven District & Valley of Spirits
- Tentacle Spokes: Complete Trade District & The Drag
- Magic-Lined Manifold: Found near Auction House in Trade District
- Void-Scarred Boarhide: Complete Valley of Honor
- Void-Forged Engine Block: Found in the Engineering shop in The Drag
Once you’ve gathered all the materials and mount parts, interact with the Voidfire Deathcycle hologram outside the Horrific Visions entrance in Dornogal. Insert each part, and the mount will be added to your collection.
With the right strategy and a bit of Engineering the Voidfire Deathcycle can be yours to ride. It’s one of the most unique mounts in World of Warcraft, and well worth the effort to get.
