League Of Legends' Heartsong Seraphine Skin Just Raised Over $3.7 Million For Charity

Riot Games has shared the final total for this year's biggest League of Legends charity skin. The official League of Legends account announced yesterday (October 16th) that Heartsong Seraphine raised over $3.7 million for the Riot Games Social Impact Fund. That total combines a month of skin sales with Riot's own matching donation, and it is one of the larger results the company has posted for a single charity skin.

Riot thanked everyone who picked up the skin in a short post, writing "To all the players who brought Heartsong Seraphine's performance to the Rift, thank you for raising over $3.7M for the Riot Games Social Impact Fund." Check it out below:

How The Heartsong Seraphine Fundraiser Worked

Heartsong Seraphine arrived in the in-game shop with Patch 26.17 on August 26th. It is a Legendary skin priced at 1,820 RP, and it kicked off a brand new skin universe called Hearts' Chorus, with Seraphine as its first and only member so far. The same patch also brought Ocean Song Soraka and Ocean Song Jinx, so it was a music-heavy update for the shop all around.

Riot first showed the skin off back in August (11th), when it announced Heartsong Seraphine was heading to the PBE. The terms of the fundraiser were spelled out from day one. The reveal post said "From Aug 26 - Sept 23, 100% of Riot's Heartsong Seraphine proceeds, plus a 2x match, will go towards the Riot Games Social Impact Fund."

A 2x match means Riot added two dollars for every dollar players spent on the skin during that window. Working backwards from the final number, player purchases came to a little over $1.2 million, and Riot's match covered the remaining $2.5 million or so. The sales window lasted just under a month, so players moved a lot of copies of this skin in a short amount of time.

How It Compares To Past Charity Skins

Riot has been running charity skins for years, and some of them have pulled in even bigger numbers. The best known is Elderwood Ornn, and back in 2021 the League account announced players had raised more than $7 million for the Social Impact Fund with that skin. More recently, Panda Pal Lux crossed $3 million for the fund at the end of 2025, which puts Heartsong Seraphine comfortably ahead of last year's effort.

The fund also gets money from things outside the skin shop. Missions during Worlds 2023 raised $1 million that went toward reforestation and landscape restoration projects, for example. The skins tend to be the biggest earners, though, since players can buy them for the full sales window and Riot's match multiplies whatever they spend.

It's no surprise Seraphine did well here. She has been tied to League's music side since her 2020 debut, when Riot introduced her alongside K/DA, and her mains have shown up for pretty much every skin she has received. A Legendary skin with new effects and voice lines, released during a stretch of music-themed content, gave players an easy reason to spend.

What The Riot Games Social Impact Fund Does

Riot set up the Social Impact Fund in 2019 in partnership with ImpactAssets. On its official page, Riot describes it as its "nonprofit engine for our collective efforts for global social impact." The fund is a separate entity from Riot Games, which lets the company make direct investments in organizations around the world and send money to almost any country where its players live.

Riot says the majority of the money raised goes toward causes and nonprofits that players help pick. One example is the Sentinels of Light initiative, where players had the chance to get their nonprofit of choice selected for a $10,000 grant from the fund. Riot's page currently lists $74.5 million raised with players, along with 450 organizations supported across 28 regions.

Riot has not shared which organizations will receive the Heartsong Seraphine money yet. Based on how past campaigns have worked, a large share of it should flow through those player-voted programs over the coming year.

Anyone who bought the skin after the campaign wrapped up should note that only purchases made between August 26th and September 23rd counted toward the charity total.

Did you pick up Heartsong Seraphine to help out the fund, or are you saving your RP for the next charity skin Riot puts out?
