League of Legends players have long known LeBlanc as “The Deceiver,” a mysterious and powerful figure who manipulates Runeterra’s political landscape through the secretive organization known as the Black Rose. But after years in the game, the iconic mid lane assassin is getting a fresh look, and fans are already buzzing.
As part of Riot Games’ Noxus-themed season, LeBlanc has received a full visual update. The reveal comes in the wake of her chilling cameo in Arcane Season 2 and her role in the 2025 Season 1 cinematic. Riot shared her new look in its Welcome to Noxus dev update, showcasing a darker, more regal aesthetic for the champion.
Gone is the short purple bob and the signature purple makeup. Instead, LeBlanc now dons long, sleek black hair and a high-collared, navy gown with a vampiric flair. Her makeup has shifted to elegant gold tones with brown-gold lipstick, giving her a more commanding and enigmatic appearance. Her iconic staff also received an upgrade, now featuring a floating Black Rose emblem that pulses with crimson energy. Check out the Skinspotlights Youtube video showing all of her skins below:
Alongside her updated visuals, Riot released an original champion theme song, and a an updated story for her lore. Offering a deeper dive into her lore and the artistic work behind her redesign. The music video highlights not only LeBlanc’s sinister elegance but also the creative team’s effort in reimagining a champion who has haunted mid lane for years. Give it a listen and let us know your thoughts on it:
While many fans are excited about the new look, some are wary. League’s last major visual rework for Viktor stirred mixed reactions with some praising the modern design, others nostalgic for the old one. LeBlanc’s rework may tread similar territory, but only time will reveal how the community responds once she hits live servers.
Interestingly, Riot also teased that another champion will receive a visual update later this year. Though fans quickly speculated Vladimir who appears alongside LeBlanc in the cinematic though it seems unlikely due to the timing. Instead, Riot may be setting up for a future rework of a champion from Demacia or Ionia, which are rumored to be next in line for Arcane-style storytelling.
For now, LeBlanc fans have plenty to savor. Between her new look, cinematic presence, and haunting theme music, The Deceiver is once again ready to twist reality and expectations in her favor.
