The Farm 51, the Polish game developer responsible for
Get Even, Painkiller Hell & Damnation, Deadfall Adventures, NecroVision, and last year's sleeper hit
World War 3, announced
Chernobylite in the April of 2018 and the studio finally released the upcoming title's very first teaser trailer today, giving us an opportunity to take a closer look at the 3D-scanned recreation of the real Exclusion Zone in Chernobyl.
According to The Farm, they "
have been spending a lot of time in Chernobyl Exclusion Zone gathering all data and materials required to make the ultimate survival horror experience of the Chernobyl catastrophe" beautifully rendered in Unreal Engine 4. At its core,
Chernobylite is a survival game filled with twisted secrets that will let you visit Chernobyl like you have never seen before in any media.
Just like
Get Even, Chernobylite will supposedly offer a disturbing world with challenging combat, unique crafting, and non-linear storytelling. Although the teaser doesn't showcase any of the features mentioned above, it does give us a chance to experience the dreadful atmosphere of this post-apocalyptic area. If you're a fan of
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. or
