This past March the popular computer game Atelier Ryza announced that it will be adapted into an anime series, and as of today, production on the project has already begun! The production for the anime released a plethora of new information about the series, including a brand-new trailer as well as a major key graphic! Both of them come complete with song previews, release dates, and other relevant information, giving fans a sneak peek into what's to come!
To begin, there is the very first official trailer, which provides us with additional information regarding Ryza's universe. On top of that, you can hear a snippet of the opening theme of the show, which is titled "Golden Ray". The theme will be performed by Sangatsu no Phantasia, who have also performed themes for shows like KIZNAIVER and Interviews with Monster Girls.
Check out the trailer below:
The key visual and sneak peek trailer both point to a release on July 1st! However, if you are interested in viewing it sooner than its "premiere" date, you will have that opportunity! The date of the advance screening has been scheduled for June 17 and will take place in Shinjuku (so you will have to be local to be part of the early screening). Following the viewing, there will be a discussion with some of the cast members for the series. It should be a great experience for fans!
Details about the cast and crew:
Emma Yuzuriha of Liden Films will be in charge of directing Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness and the Secret Hideout, while Yashichiro Takahashi, the original author of Shakugan no Shana, will be in charge of the series composition for the film. As the character designer, Tomoyuki Shitaya (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma) draws inspiration from Toridamono's first sketches. The soundtrack for the adaptation will be written by Kazuki Yanagawa, who composed the music for the Atelier game series. On July 1st, the first episode of the series will air on TOKYO MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, BS11, and other stations.
