November is flying by and with the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday in the United States, Sony has announced December's PlayStation Plus offerings a bit earlier. While we've still got a few more days to go before we turn the calendar page, Sony has peeled back the curtain and revealed the three free games we'll be getting in December.

Launching on Tuesday, December 3rd for all PlayStation Plus members are It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem

Developed by Hazellight Studios (A Way Out), It Takes Two was created primarily with co-op in mind The genre-bending platform adventure requires two players — either local or online with split-screen play — to work together to complete a variety of "gleefully disruptive gameplay challenges." Featuring a heartfelt and hilarious story of the hardships in getting along, It Takes Two is a metaphorical merging of gameplay and narrative.

Play as the clashing couple Cody and May, two humans turned into dolls by a magic spell. Together, trapped in a fantastical world where the unpredictable hides around every corner, they are reluctantly challenged with saving their fractured relationship. Master unique and connected character abilities in every new level. Help each other across an abundance of unexpected obstacles and laugh-out-loud moments. Kick gangster squirrels’ furry tails, pilot a pair of underpants, DJ a buzzing night club, and bobsleigh through a magical snow globe.

Alien: Dark Descent is a real-time combat strategy game inspired by the iconic Alien movie franchise. In Alien: Dark Descent, you'll command a squad of colonial marines, leading them into battle against the deadliest foe mankind has ever faced. Xenomorphs won't be your only threat though, as you'll also encounter rogue operatives and Weyland-Yutani Corporation, along with creatures new to the Alien franchise.

In Aliens: Dark Descent, you command a squad of hardened Colonial Marines as you attempt to stop a terrifying new threat on Planet Lethe. Led as one unit with intuitive controls on keyboard & mouse as well as on controller, the squad takes on real-time combat against iconic Xenomorphs, rogue operatives from the insatiable Weyland-Yutani, and a host of horrifying creatures new to the Alien universe. Using a range of tactical abilities, you will unravel an authentic Alien narrative full of sinister secrets, diving in and exploring the horrors and wonders of a cinematic, narrative campaign. As you infiltrate large open levels and annihilate enemies with your squad, use your comms to dispatch orders that are swiftly obeyed by the Marine best-equipped for the situation. You will need to use their wits to navigate the game’s expansive, persistent, reactive levels and complete objectives.

For a completely opposite and more chill experience, there's Temtem, an online creature-collection adventure from developer Crema. Become a Temtem tamer and explore the six islands of the Airborne Archipelago, discovering new species and creatures to collect and battle with.

"Catch new Temtem on Omninesia’s floating islands, battle other tamers on the sandy beaches of Deniz or trade with your friends in Tucma’s ash-covered fields," the game teases. "Defeat the ever-annoying Clan Belsoto and end its plot to rule over the Archipelago, beat all eight DojoLeaders, and become the ultimate Temtem tamer."

Temtem has drawn comparisons to the Pokemon franchise because of the creature collecting and training aspect, but there are some big differences — the most notable being the MMO elements.

It Takes TwoAliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem will be available beginning Tuesday, December 3rd. It Takes Two and Aliens: Dark Descent are playable on PS5 and PS4, while Temtem is exclusive to PS5. In the meantime, you have until December 2nd to download November's free PS Plus games: Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 - TurbochargedGhostwire: Tokyo, and Death Note Killer Within.
