Kotaku reveals that the ShareFactory application has been updated on the PlayStation 4, and as a result, you'll now be able to turn game clips into animated gifs. Don't start fretting if you've made a bunch of clips in the past which you think would be perfect for this though as the site confirms that you'll be able to use this feature with both existing and new videos you capture on the gaming system.
All you'll need to do is choose a start point for your gif and the app will then create a nice second loop which you can trim down as you see fit. The "Share" button can then be used to save it and Tweet it out, so expect to see your timeline flooded with these over the next few weeks. The gifs will be 400 pixels wide and just a few MB in terms of file size, so you'll have room for plenty of them too.
It should be interesting seeing the fun gamers have creating gifs with this update, while we can probably expect to see lots of cool moments - like the one below from Uncharted 4 - also captured!
