It's officially pumpkin season, but you may want to hold off on splurging on those pumpkin spice coffees. The "-ber" months are typically the busiest for new game releases and while Grand Theft Auto 6 is the one just about everyone has circled in November, there are quite a few games coming this month worth noting, including one blockbuster title exclusively for PlayStation 5.

There's no shortage of new games coming to PS5 this month, but Marvel's Wolverine is undoubtedly the one that will make the biggest splash. Developed by Insomniac Games, creators of the Marvel's Spider-Man series, Marvel's Wolverine is an cinematic action-adventure inspired by the iconic Marvel Comics character. It's an original story derived from the long-running comic book mythology, but it follows James "Logan" Howlett (aka Wolverine) as he rejoins his former Team X to investigate the abduction of displaced mutants by industrialist Bolivar Trask and the Reavers militia.

If you're a fan of comic books or blockbuster action-adventures with massive set pieces, Marvel's Wolverine is one to keep an eye on. It launches on September 15, exclusively on PlayStation 5.

Truth be told, this is actually one of the busiest months on record for the PS5. Marvel's Wolverine is really just the tip of the iceberg.

Also releasing this month is NBA 2K27 and NHL 27, two massive sports titles for fans of the respective sport. Towards the end of the month, we've got Dune: AwakeningControl ResonantSilent Hill: Townfall, and Minecraft Dungeons II. Take a quick look at the release calendar for the PlayStation 5 this month.

  • The Blood of Dawnwalker - September 3, 2026
  • NBA 2K27 - September 4, 2026

  • NHL 27 - September 11, 2026
  • Marvel's Wolverine - September 15, 2026

  • Endless Legend 2 - September 17, 2026

  • Silent Hill: Townfall - September 24, 2026
  • EA Sports FC 27 - September 25, 2026
  • Minecraft Dungeons II - September 29, 2026

After a year of PC exclusivity, Dune: Awakening is finally landing on PS5 letting you build, craft. It's a sandbox survival that drops you into the deadly deserts of Arrakis. Control Resonant, Remedy's long-awaited follow-up to Control, takes you into a supernaturally warped Manhattan as Dylan Faden. Unlike its predecessor, there's a focus on fast, melee-heavy combat rather than gunfights.

Silent Hill: Townfall shakes things up for the series by going full first-person, following Simon Ordell as he gets pulled back to a fog-covered Scottish town hiding some seriously dark secrets. And Minecraft Dungeons II brings back the co-op loot grind with up to three friends, adding jumping (finally) and a brand new dimension called the Sift to explore.

This is hardly the full list of new titles coming to PS5 this month, but these are some of the biggest games releasing. Which ones are you excited for?
