Sony's next-gen console, the highly anticipated PlayStation 5, is exactly a month away from finally becoming available; that is, of course, depending on where you are located, as the console is not getting a worldwide release.
To be more precise, the PlayStation 5 will be launching in the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea on Thursday the 12th of November. Every other region, however, will be getting the long-awaited console exactly one week later on Thursday the 19th of November.
Interestingly enough, this only seems to apply to the console itself but not its associated peripherals, as new information revals that consumers in the United Kingdom will be getting accessories for the PlayStation 5 a week before the console even launches.
This information was shared by Northampton based retailer Simply Games, which initially revealed that the release date for PlayStation 5 accessories — with the exception of the console's DualSense controller, for some reason — had been brought forward to the 12th of November.
In a more recent post on the official Twitter account, Simply Games has now confirmed that the DualSense controller will also be available for purchase in the United Kingdom on the 12th of November, even when the console itself won't be launching until a week later.
While the PlayStation 5 itself hasn't been pushed forward, this is still great news for those who may still want to purchase an extra controller, or even video games, as the latter have also been confirmed to be available a week prior to the console's highly anticipated release.
Simply Games has already got a bunch of PlayStation 5 titles available for pre-orders, and most of them are actually slated to launch on Thursday the 12th of November.
