PlayStation VR Now Supports 360-Degree Video Content On YouTube

If you've yet to give PlayStation VR a try, Sony has offered another reason why you should today as the company has confirmed that the system now supports 360-degree videos on YouTube. Hit the jump for details.

Sony has updated the PlayStation 4's YouTube app to support 360-degree videos, and that should give owners of PlayStation VR a lot of reasons to be excited. These videos are one of the best things about VR and the fact that the PS4 now supports them ensures gamers now won't need to look elsewhere.

Among the 
videos you can try this out with are ones which take you on helicopter rides across Mt. Everest, an exploration of an active volcano, and even a basketball game! They're great fun, and PlayStation VR supporting them is actually long overdue. Here's the official announcement from Sony:
