God of War is one of the best games released this year, period. Santa Monica Studio and Creative Director for the game, Cory Barlog, have really put a lot of effort into making this game a memorable one that not only redefines the
God of War series, but also proves that Single Player games aren't going anywhere.
Back in May, a month after
God of War officially released,
Cory Barlog toyed with the idea of a New Game Plus for the game, saying that he wanted it upon launch but couldn't do it because of time constraints. He mentioned that the game's Photo Mode was also among the things they wanted the game to have but didn't work on it until the game was already out.
God of War's
Photo Mode has been available for a while now and, without that hurdle out of the way, it's now time for New Game Plus to finally be released. As announced by the PlayStation Europe, and UK verified Twitter accounts,
God of War's New Game Plus will finally be available on the
20th of August, making a lot of players happy now that they have yet another reason to go back to this amazing game.
His vengeance against the Gods of Olympus years behind him, Kratos now lives as a man in the realm of Norse Gods and monsters. It is in this harsh, unforgiving world that he must fight to survive…And teach his son to do the same. This startling reimagining of God of War deconstructs the core elements that defined the series—satisfying combat; breathtaking scale; and a powerful narrative—and fuses them anew.
God of War is available exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
