The Last of Us Part II is a little bit under a month away from hitting store shelves — becoming available on Friday the 19th of June, exclusively for the PlayStation 4 — and giving players the chance to reconnect with the characters that they have come to know and love one more time.
While some key plot points of the game have already been leaked online, some fans of the series are still legitimately excited for The Last of Us Part II to release, and Naughty Dog has been sharing some behind the scenes that have somewhat allowed players to scratch that itch to play the upcoming title.
Today we have some good news for those who are eagerly anticipating Naughty Dog's soon-to-be-released survival horror title, as PlayStation has announced that a special State of Play presentation that will be streamed this Wednesday the 27th of May at 1:00 PM Pacific Time / 4:00PM Eastern Time will focus entirely on The Last of Us Part II.
PlayStation and Sucker Punch recently streamed a special State of Play presentation that gave us a bunch of details about Ghost of Tsushima, so we should expect a similar presentation — in terms of length(around 20 minutes, give or take) and overall information — for Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part II.
Five years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors. When a violent event disrupts that peace, Ellie embarks on a relentless journey to carry out justice and find closure. As she hunts those responsible one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.
The Last of Us Part II is expected to release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on the 19th of June.
