Yesterday, Sony confirmed that a brand new State of Play presentation will be airing on September 24th at 1:00 PM (Pacific Time). Today, Naughty Dog has confirmed that The Last of Us Part II will be one of the games on show during the livestream.

The Last of Us Part II was officially revealed back in 2016 and we've gone without a release date since. It's thought that the livestream will finally reveal when the highly anticipated sequel will be releasing — though it hasn't been confirmed. Some new gameplay footage was privately showed off last month, so it's likely that will be publicly unveiled during the stream.

Included in the official tweet of the renowned game studio (@Naughty_Dog) is a now-iconic quote from the very first trailer for The Last of Us Part II"I'm gonna find...and I'm gonna kill...every last one of them." There's also an attached video which reiterates when the State of Play presentation will be taking place as well as features Ellie's switchblade knife.
