Sony just wrapped up its PlayStation State of Play and stealing the show, of course, was
The Last of Us Part II. Naughty Dog's highly anticipated action-adventure closed out the stream with a trailer that not only revealed more of the game's premise, but also a release date.
The Last of Us Part II will finally arrive on PlayStation 4 next year on February 21, 2020.
The new trailer picks up the day
the event shown in the 2018 E3 presentation in which Ellie kisses another woman, Dina. The two, who appear to have a very strong bond, head out on a daily route to presumably gather supplies and that's when things go horribly bad. One can only assume that it is Dina who is shot when the trailer goes black, which sets Ellie on a mission to exact revenge. But she won't be alone. Joining her at the very end of the trailer was none other than Joel.
The Last of Us Part II will launch on February 21, 2020 for PlayStation 4.
