THE LAST OF US PART II Standard, Special, And Collector's Editions Officially Revealed
Alongside the debut of a brand new trailer, various editions of The Last of Us Part II were revealed — their prices ranging from $59.99 to $249.99. Hit the jump to check them out...
During PlayStation's recent State of Play presentation, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Naughty Dog finally announced that The Last of Us Part II will be released on February 21st, 2020. The release date came as the cherry on top of an exciting, brand new trailer which features the return of Joel — you can check that out here.
Alongside all of that, The Last of Part II was made available to pre-order and various editions of the highly anticipated sequel were revealed (via PlayStation.Blog). However, as quickly as they were made available, outlets backpedalled. While you can't currently pre-order The Last of Us Part II, you'll likely be able to soon. We'll let you know as soon as pre-orders go live again.
Now, onto the different versions of the game that are going to be available. There's, of course, the standard edition which currently costs $59.99 and will include a copy of the game itself as well as a PlayStation Network avatar of Ellie's tattoo.
The Special Edition will include a copy of the game with two discs and cost $79.99. Also included is a Steelbook, a dynamic PlayStation 4 theme, six PlayStation Network avatars, and a small art book.
For $169.99, you can purchase the Collector's Edition which comes with all that was included with the Special Edition as well as a set of pins and stickers, a digital soundtrack, a digital artbook, a lithograph art print, a letter of thanks from Naughty Dog, and a twelve-inch statue of Ellie strumming her guitar.
Lastly, there's the heftiest of them all, the Ellie Edition will contain all that the Collector's Edition did as well as a functional replica of Ellie's backpack, an embroidered patch, and a seven-inch vinyl record which features music from the soundtrack of The Last of Us Part II. That will cost $249.99.
