The Last of Us Part II has had a pretty rough time as of late after the upcoming sequel was subject to a huge leak which seemed to spill the game's whole plot out online. Suffice it to say, many didn't take too kindly to the content on the leaks but Naughty Dog insists that context is key and the game itself will indeed be worth the wait.
Shortly after this leak, the studio and Sony Interactive Entertainment announced a new release date for the delayed game. The Last of Us Part II will now release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on June 19th, 2020. That's about a month and half from now.
What's more, Naughty Dog announced that a new trailer for The Last of Us Part II would be debuting today and, thus, it has arrived. In true The Last of Us fashion; this trailer is incredibly dramatic and ominous. Interestingly, the trailer features multiple flashbacks which take place before the sequel — even going so far as to take place in the midst of the first game.
