Within the world of The Last of Us, September 26th marks the day the cordyceps fungus hit critical mass. Since the game's release, Outbreak Day has been Naughty Dog's way of celebrating The Last of Us and its dedicated fanbase.

Basically, everything to do with The Last of Us is currently 50% off within the PlayStation Store. That's the game itself, its DLC and its microtransactions. Until October 2nd, The Last of Us Remastered is available for only $9.99 - and its follow-up DLC expansion Left Behind is down to just $4.99. Click here to visit the PS Store.

Naughty Dog also recently teased what else we can expect from Outbreak Day and it sounds like something pretty significant is planned to arrive later today. Currently, a System Theme based on the upcoming sequel to The Last of Us is available as well as eight user avatars, and even more.

Stay tuned to Gamefragger to see what else Naughty Dog has in-store for us. What do you think of the "Outbreak Day Sale"? Will you be making use of it? What else do you think Naughty Dog have planned?

The Last of Us Part II doesn't currently have a set release date.
