Last week, players who had been anticipating the release of The Last of Us Part II received the sour news that Naughty Dog's long-awaited survival horror title was being pushed back. It isn't the fact that the game is being delayed once gain that has players disappointed, but the fact that it has been pushed back indefinitively.
Of course, both players and hardcore fans of the series understand the reasoning behind the The Last Of Us Part II being delayed indefinitely, and Naughty Dog has also reassured fans that they are still working hard in order to deliver a top quality product.
Much to the dismay of many players out there, however, Sony Entertainment Interactive has decided to remove Naughty Dog's highly anticipated, and long-awaited The Last of Us Part II from the PlayStation Store — following last week's sour announcement.
Now that the game has been removed from the PlayStation Store, players who had already pre-ordered their digital copy of The Last of Us Part II should expect to receive a refund rather sooner than later. Again, this is unfortunate, but pretty much expected; all things considered.
The Last of Us Part II was expected to release for the PlayStation 4 on the 29th of May, and was pushed back on account of the Coronavirus outbreak. The way we see it, the game could still be launching before the end of the year. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed.
Five years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors. When a violent event disrupts that peace, Ellie embarks on a relentless journey to carry out justice and find closure. As she hunts those responsible one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.
The Last of Us Part II still doesn't have an official release date.
