Horizon Forbidden West is one of the most ambitious games revealed during the PlayStation 5 reveal presentation, which isn't really surprising considering that its prequel was also one of the most ambitious titles on the PlayStation 4; and now PC, of course.
With Horizon Zero Dawn, the developers at Guerrilla Games made sure to deliver a phenomenal game with a fascinating open world, some state of the art graphics, and a majestic soundtrack that perfectly captured that sense of wonder and desolation, but that also brims with optimism.
The announcement trailer was more than enough to get players excited for Horizon Forbidden West, as it manages to dial every aspect of the original up to eleven. This is one of the reasons why the sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn feels so familiar, which is always a good thing considering it is a top quality title; definitely one of the best games of this generation of consoles.
Today Guerrilla Games has shared the theme song from the Horizon Forbidden West announcement trailer, which is called "Promise of the West"; produced by Horizon Zero Dawn and Killzone series composer Joris de Man, and featuring vocals by Horizon Zero Dawn vocalist Julie Elven.
Give it a listen:
Horizon Forbidden West continues Aloy’s story as she moves west to a far-future America to brave a majestic, but dangerous frontier where she’ll face awe-inspiring machines and mysterious new threats.
Horizon Forbidden West will release exclusively for the PlayStation 5 in 2021.
