Guerilla Games kicked off an exciting, new franchise in early 2017.
Horizon Zero Dawn is an open-world role-playing game which is exclusively available for the PlayStation 4.
Recently, rumours swirled that a virtual reality
Horizon game is in development. Whether it's for the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 is unknown but it will almost certainly be exclusive to PlayStation VR. Additionally, it will most likely not have ties to the
Horizon Zero Dawn sequel which one of the game's voice actors hinted at a couple of months ago —
more on that here.
Virtual reality specialist Callum Hurley (
@MultiCallum) recently posted a tweet on social media which sparked the rumours and speculation.
"Was recently made aware of a very exciting new PlayStation VR game coming out of London Studio. Not sure whether it'll be for PS4, PS5 or both, but it's really exciting, and an announcement could be on the Horizon..." said Hurley.
People quickly pointed out the capitalisation of the final word in his initial tweet — that being horizon. The executive followed up his tweet with a couple more after it caught quite a bit of traction from both
Horizon Zero Dawn fans and video game news sites — such as yours truly.
Below you can check out each the two most notable of Hurley's tweets below:
