Sony's annual Days of Play kicked off last week with a PlayStation Player Celebration event, but the big sale that fans are likely awaiting for won't actually begin until next week. On Wednesday, May 26, Sony will offer deals and discounts on a selection of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games, including many PS5 launch titles.
While we don't have specific prices yet, we do know some of the games that will be discounted during the Days of Play sale. Among the highlights are Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Demon's Souls, two critically acclaimed PS5 blockbusters. Other PS5 games that will be discounted are Sackboy: A Big Adventure and The Nioh Collection.
Fans can also look forward to discounts on some of the PS4's biggest games, including Death Stranding, Ghosts of Tsushima, Predator: Hunting Grounds, The Last of Us Part II, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and a selection of PlayStation Hits games. PlayStation Hits is a designation given to some of Sony's most well-received first-party titles. Some of the games that are considered PlayStation Hits are Horizon: Zero Dawn (which was actually given away for free on PS4 and PS5 last month), God of War, The Last of Us Remastered, Bloodborne, and more. It's not guaranteed that all of these games will be discounted, but you can probably assume many of them will be.
The Days of Play sale will run from May 26 through June 9. Games can be purchased digitally via the PlayStation Store but some of the deals will also be offered at select stores, although it will vary by location and retailer.
