As we enter the latter half of July, wherein
Detroit: Become Human and
Horizon Chase Turbo are the current free PlayStation Plus games, a leak has surfaced which seemingly reveals what next month's free games will be. According to a new report by
Glitched Africa (via
Push Square),
Star Wars Battlefront II and
EA Sports UFC 3 will be the two free video games that PlayStation Plus subscribers are entitled to in August.
Star Wars Battlefront II hails from EA and DICE. It released back in November of 2017 to quite the controversy on account of its shady monetisation practices such as pay-to-win microtransactions. According to players that have stuck with the
Star Wars video game since then, it's improved quite a bit since then.
EA Sports UFC 3 is a mixed martial arts fighting game developed by EA Canada and was published by EA Sports.
This leak came about as a user reportedly shared some images of what appears to be a glitch which involved a yellow label, that usually is attached to free PlayStation Plus games, showing up on the icons for
Star Wars Battlefront II and
EA Sports UFC 3. Many believe that somebody at Sony might have briefly caused this to happen in preperation for next month when the games will officially become available to download.
