Nintendo has been firing on all cylinders lately. Despite being a Wii U port,
Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze was released on Switch last week and is currently the sixth best-reviewed game of the year on the platform (at least according to Metacritic) with a respectable 86%.
Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition will be available in stores next Friday and it's just a small beginning of the true stream of Nintendo's titles.
It looks like Nintendo is not wasting time and is already working on the next chapter of
The Legend of Zelda series
. ResetEra user Niko Amii has spotted a job listing confirming that the company is looking for new developers (including level designers) to help the main team produce the sequel that will be released only on Nintendo Switch this time, as last year's
Breath of the Wild is also available on Wii U.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was first shown at E3 2014's Digital Direct. In it was hinted at being in production in 2013 and released four years later, so considering that The Big N is already working on the next chapter, it would make sense to expect the game in 2021-2022. Just remember that "
every cloud has a silver lining" and keep playing those excellent Nintendo titles in the meantime.
