On Thursday, Microsoft lifted the curtain on Xbox Series X, giving gamers a first look at next-gen gameplay. The Inside Xbox presentation was short but packed a bunch as numerous third-party games were shown for the Xbox Series X.
Microsoft didn't seem ready to show off its own games quite yet though. Prior to Thursday's event, Microsoft promised to dedicate time on Xbox Game Studios titles in July. Xbox marketing GM Aaron Greenberg assured gamers this will include 343 Industries' Halo Infinite.
Halo is Microsoft's flagship franchise and Halo Infinite is easily the most anticipated launch title for Xbox Series X. Halo Infinite has seen two trailers released thus far, both in-engine but neither showcasing actual gameplay. Gamers are understandably eager to see what 343 Industries has been up to.
Greenberg assured that the 15 Xbox Game Studios have been busy these past few months and will continue to work hard throughout the summer, even if conditions are a little unconventional due to the coronavirus. The pandemic has seemingly had no noticable impact on the numerous games shown during the Inside Xbox presentation and it sounds like Halo Infinite is still on track for its holiday launch alongside the Xbox Series X. We'll get our first proper look at it in July. Halo Infinite will be available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
