The Xbox One edition of
DayZ 1.0 launches on March 27th, Microsoft has officially announced. This version of the survival game will allow 60 players on one server follow a single goal – staying alive as long as possible. Just like in its PC brother, there will be no superficial tips, waypoints, built-in tutorials or help given to you, so every wrong move can be lethal, forcing you to start over from the scratch.
Considering that
DayZ entered its 1.0 version on PC in December, five years after its release onto early access on Steam, Bohemia has managed to port the game on the consoles faster than anyone had expected. As a reminder, the PS4 edition is still in the works and will be released later this year.
To celebrate the release date announcement, Bohemia has shared a new cinematic trailer for
DayZ, showcasing the fallen world of the fictional post-soviet country of Chernarus. Take a look down below:
Scavenging for supplies and roaming the open world never feels safe in DayZ, as you never know what's behind the next corner. Hostile player interactions, or simply just struggling through severe weather can easily turn into intense, nerve-racking moments where you experience very real emotions. On the other hand, meeting with another friendly survivor in DayZ can lead to a true friendship that lasts a lifetime...
DayZ 1.0 is available on PC NOW; coming to Xbox One on March 27th and PlayStation 4 in 2019.
