Xbox One owners finally have a chance to check out Sonic Unleashed, Aliens vs. Predator, and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning on their console, as those titles are now backwards compatible. Since announcing the backwards compatibility, Microsoft has added hundreds of X360 and some Xbox games to the list. If you already own the game you can play them on your XO at no additional charge.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is one of the most underappreciated games of the last-gen that was created New York Times bestselling author R.A. Salvatore,
Spawn creator Todd McFarlane, and
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion lead designer Ken Rolston. The rights to the game series have been recently sold to THQ Nordic, so there's a small chance we will get another game set in the
Amalur universe one day.
The other two games are definitely less loved, as Rebellion's
Aliens vs. Predator was filled with bugs and technical issues at launch, but it was still much better than whatever
Aliens: Colonial Marines was trying to be. Sega's
Sonic Unleashed is the worst-reviews game of the bunch, but you may also want to give it a chance, especially if you're a hardcore fan of the blue hero (who will get his own movie soon).
The minds of New York Times bestselling author R.A. Salvatore, Spawn creator Todd McFarlane, and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion lead designer Ken Rolston have combined to create Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, a new role-playing game set in a world worth saving.
